President of the Association for Sustainable Development, Karine Danielyan, stated that Armenia's climate could change and become tropical.
"Global climate change is taking place. Under the UN Climate Change Convention, drastic changes require both desertification risks and the risks of natural resource reductions. The climate may become tropical, and the climate may start changing drastically," Karine Danielyan told A1plus.
According to Danielyan, Armenian scientists have long predicted weather anomalies in Armenia. Experts of the Meteorological Center of Armenia see a threat to Armenian agriculture and population in anomaly hot winter despite the fact that Armenian residents are satisfied with the weather.
