Aveluk festival to be held in Armenia for the first time

On June 29, the first aveluk festival will be held in Vardenik community,Gegharkunik. During the event the longest aveluk will be prepared and presented to the guests, which will be registered in the Armenian Dyutaznagirq (Armenian Book of Records).

During the festival, you can taste the traditional dishes of Gegharkunik - Gavar pakhlava, Vardenik kufta, fresh soup made in a large saucepan and roasted edible plants.

There will also be opportunities for social entrepreneurs in Gegharkunik and other Armenian settlements, as well as for rural hospitality services to get introduced to products and activities of individuals engaged in organic production. 

The organizers state the special guests of the event will be Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and EU Ambassador to Armenia Piotr Switalski.
